we have been isolated from world of football as a country for many years. in those years we fell way behind other nations. strong footballing nations like britain which continued to play internationally has not won the world cup since before we where isolated. to not even appreciate this simple fact is a serious dent on our collective football understanding. no, i will even say that collectively, we are deadly naive in football terms.

how else do you justify the advocacy for the dismissal of a clearly very educated coach less than a year before the world cup? how do you account for the lack of international players based at overseas and champions league playing teams, compared to the likes of ghana, ivory coast, cameroun? clearly much less developed countries than us.

and dont start with that we are passionat about football nonsense. we are not. if we where, we would at least learn enough and by now would have appreciated the football dynamics enough to know and appreciate how far we have come and know it would take ages to get to where we want to go. so far, we have no clue.
