We need an entrepreneur to sponsor (say) 500 cellphone cameras and 500 videocams. These to be given to ordinary citizens who undertake to visit all the political meetings in their areas. They then upload their snaps and footage onto Zoopy and we can see citizen-reporters' unfiltered views of campaigning "on the ground".
Anybody?

Very interesting, and probably an example of why so many SAs are out of touch and irrelevant to the problems of modern South Africa.

SA does not need anymore electonics or modern technology, it already has that, and most SAs are quite capable of using mobile phones and Internet cafes.

What they need is Security, Stability, Opportunity and Justice.

The poor also need less mining and indistry and more basics, like Food, Clothes, Shelter and less rapists, murderers, corruption and thieves.

Which you would know if you've ever tried living, even for a short town, in one of the old Townships, like I have.

At this point it seems that the Congress of the People (COPE) are well ahead of the rest of the pack as far as using social media goes. Their Facebook site has attracted over 7000 members and they are setting up Facebook as one of their regions! The Friends of Jacob Zuma site is quite active, although not strictly an ANC site. The ANC in fact has taken a step backwards since the Mbeki days, by not having a weekly president's newsletter.
