The Lothario from Ikandla strikes again!

The Lothario from Inkandla is reported to have struck again! This time he has “allegedly” — in his friend’s backyard — seduced a relatively young lady from Soweto and left her toothless father fuming at such blatant betrayal. I choose to use the word “allegedly” very reluctantly because nothing that has been reported seems out of Jacob Zuma’s character.

This is the same man who a few years ago by his own testimony admitted to playing a masseur in his spare time, which by the look of things he has in abundance. The young lady in question then cried rape. Zuma admitted to have used his magic potion, Baby Oil, which he smeared on his friend’s daughter before unleashing his inner wild tiger upon her. The court cleared him of the charge.

Some of us thought the revelation of his extra-mural activities during the rape trial may restrain his libido, that his pants would be unzipped only for his many wives and fiancées, but our Don Juan apparently had other ideas. Some in the unholy tripartite alliance have proclaimed him to be the Messiah, the reincarnation of Christ himself. He even had priesthood bestowed upon him by some seemingly desperate Bishop Ben Mthethwa. We can only assume that after siring 20 children, he may have merely been complying with the Holy Scripture, which implores humanity to be “fruitful and multiply”.

If indeed it is true that Zuma has fathered a child with Khoza’s daughter, we must all march to the Union Buildings to express our collective disgust at his sexual indiscretions. It is a shameful behaviour by the head of state.

On World Aids Day he stood in front of the nation, announced the government’s HIV/Aids initiatives and warned that: “It does not mean that we should be irresponsible in our sexual practices. It does not mean that people do not have to practise safer sex. It does not mean that people should not use condoms consistently and correctly during every sexual encounter.”

It is abundantly clear that this is a man who does not mean a word that comes out of his mouth. We have already noted the endless stream of broken promises since he became president. His meaningless utterances on December 1 a continuation of the hypocrisy from the office of this president. We can only assume that either the president of the republic does not know how to use condoms or there is some truth to his infamous Shower Theory. How does he explain unsafe sex with an HIV-positive woman and continue this unsafe practice with another mistress? This is shocking!!!

The US donated about R4.2 billion towards the fight against HIV/Aids and as a concerned citizen, I would not oppose a motion to use some of these funds for providing a yearly supply of presidential condoms.

We have been cheated of exemplary leaders by crooks in the ANC who preferred to vote into office a spineless man under whom self-enrichment flourishes unrestrained. The excesses of his administration leave small-time crooks green with envy. An aspiring fraudster only needs to become an ANC member of parliament and an illicit career is guaranteed. The liberation struggle has shifted gears from “a luta continua” to “the looting continues”. The moral and ethical decay is of crisis proportions.

Zuma, as the former head of the country’s moral regeneration programme, displays no virtue, morality or anything that represents the good in society. The president is an embarrassment to all self-respecting South Africans. He has betrayed the honour of the Office of the President and brought it into disrepute. The abuse of culture should be condemned by our traditional leaders and society in general. Polygamy has now been reduced to adultery. Promiscuity should not be justified under the false guise of upholding and preserving cultural practices. Zuma is making a mockery of this age-old cultural practice.

Malema has warned us against discussing the sexual activities of elders but unfortunately this particular elder has consistently demonstrated lack of self-respect and respect for the position he holds. When does he find time to please his three wives and two fiancées as well as the girlfriends, which the latest allegations suggest they exist? Zuma is 67 years old and he is still busy making babies. This is unfair to these kids. They will grow up with a grandfather instead of a father that will not see them through their youth and tell them about the birds and bees (not the machine gun). Men his age have to contend with the problem of a misfiring machine gun. His is perfectly well-oiled.

Reverend Kenneth Meshoe of the African Christian Democratic Party suggested that he be sent for sex rehabilitation, while the president of the Congress of the People, Mosiuoa Lekota, likened him to a “gigolo”. The president has a present and immediate problem!

What he should remember is that betrayal by a friend is an unforgivable transgression.

Mr President save us from any further embarrassment and step down!

Well written indeed! What always makes me cringe is how the likes of Julius Malema claim that is is “unafrican” to discuss this and purport the belief that all black people are of the same opinion as he is.

Who do you think should step into his shoes and be the country’s leader?

(There’s a lot of young black people down here who are very unhappy about him and his sexual shenanigans btw.)

“Mr President save us from any further embarrassment and step down!” Let that call echo from every person, every home, every town, every province, the whole of South Africa. He has passed the point of no return. He must go.

  4. Zuma has brought the ANC into disrepute many times before. The ANC’s constitution has some interesting punishments for members who bring its name into disrepute(Mbulelo Goniwe,Ebrahim Rasool,Max Ozinsky). When it comes to Zuma its not applied.I wonder why.

I agree this is embarrassing to SA as a nation. However, the bottom line is that this is Zuma’s private life and is simply that – private – even for the president. Kennedy shagged around a lot, but was a great president. Bush never shagged around, but was terrible. I am only concerned about his performance as president, nothing else – and couldn’t care who or what he shags. He is not the best president SA could have, but he is certainly not the worst.

The 500,000 jobs President Population Explosion promised are for nannies, cooks, nappy makers, teachers, baby-sitters, therapists, nurses, etc to care for his brood. The first national leader to cure unemployment by waving his, umm, magic wand.

There is no pleasing some people. Women complain it takes only 10 minutes for a man to finish his sexual act.How many women does Zuma have now- lets say 6- thats a whole lunch hour a day. a man is allowed to have lunch is he not?

As for HIV please hassle the pope and his priests. The dont want your R4.9 billion condoms and contraceptives to ever reach the shores of SA let alone Zuma. Now there is a powerful figure you are too chicken to tackle.

    I share your disgust.

But I am not sure if we are exactly on the same page when you write “We have been cheated of exemplary leaders by crooks in the ANC who preferred to vote into office a spineless man under whom self-enrichment flourishes unrestrained.”

If you are writing only from a perpective of principle in that you want principled honourable leadership, no problem. But if you are somehow promoting Mbeki, then I do have a problem. He was as bad, just in different ways. Unfortunately the ANC is only a pale, very pale, shadow of what it once was and what it showed it could become. They have lost the plot completely.

The only bright light I can see in this debacle is that each scandal takes us closer to the fall of the (current) ANC and a return to principled democratic government. The amount of blogs, news articles, etc on Zuma’s infidelity, illegitimate child, lying is incredible and must be a reflection of the disgust a HUGE section of the voting public feels. Let’s hope that disgust is enough to chuck him out or even better force him to resign although I consider that extremely unlikely, and the current ANC.

The moral regeneration movement might as well close up shop and move on while Mr. Zuma is in charge of the country. His actions will be used widely to justify unprotected multiple partner sexual relations. Who do you think carries more gravitas, the Lovelife councillors, or the president of the country? Will the youth, (or old folks like Zuma) pay any attention to the ABC campaigners with their trite slogans and warm, fuzzy adverts extolling the “new man” of South Africa?

I hope you get the moral of the quote

STATEMENT BY PRESIDENT JACOB ZUMA ON MEDIA REPORTS ABOUT HIS CHILD

I have noted recent media reports about aspects of my personal life.

I have noted too that these reports have been the subject of much discussion in the public arena by various organisations and people from all walks of life.

I have therefore decided, after some careful deliberation, to make public comment on a matter that is otherwise intensely personal. I had been out of the country when this matter arose.

I confirm that I have a relationship and a baby with Ms Sonono Khoza. I said during World Aids Day that we must all take personal responsibility for our actions. I have done so. I have done the necessary cultural imperatives in a situation of this nature, for example the formal acknowledgement of paternity and responsibility, including the payment of inhlawulo to the family. The matter is now between the two of us, and culturally, between the Zuma and Khoza families.

It is unfortunate that the individuals concerned have been unfairly subjected to harsh media exposure merely because of the position that I occupy. Our Constitution and our laws require us to protect children from harmful public exposure. The Constitution states that it is inappropriate to place at risk, the child’s well-being, physical or mental health, spiritual, moral or social development.

Both the Child Care Act and the new Children’s Act also provides for the

I am amazed how the ANC have been so quick to condemn the media and the opposition because they have legitimately commented on the shocking behaviour of our leading public servant; but were silent when the ANCYL accused Helen Zille of appointing her cabinet so that she could sleep with them.

In that case, the most outlandish, unsubstantiated claims were made about a person who has an impeccable moral record, whereas in this case we have seen proof and an admission of moral failure but the media are told to stay out of it!

Wait for it; here come Siphiwo and Dave Harris to tell us that we are all racists for questioning Zuma’s morals or lack thereof.

Well written and presented. There should be a public campaign to force Zuma to step down. He is a source of embarassment to all South Africans (apart from the blinded die-hard members of the ANC). It is extremely surprising that women’s rights organizations are completely silent. Obviously, the ANC Women’s League is not a women’s rights organisation, but merely an extension of the ANC and their sycophantic response to this issue has clearly demonstrated their lack of interest in protecting or advocating for women’s rights.

At age 67, are these twenty children all really JZ’s?

I am reminded of the story of the elderly man who bragged to his doctor during his annual checkup that his (young) wife was pregnant again. The doctor said, “There was a man who was walking in the bush with his umbrella, and saw a deer. He raised the umbrella as though it was a rifle and just as he imagined he was squeezing the trigger a shot rang out and the deer dropped to the ground, dead. What do you think happened?”

“Well, obviously someone else shot it!” exclaimed the man.

ehhhh. President Zuma must step down, how? who decides? Take a taxi to somewhere, they still love him, they say he has a weakness, he is a human being. Who is clean? After Motlanthe’s public stunt who wants a cry baby? Who is better than Zuma right now? They will tell you when a woman accept a second wife, he will accept a third and so on and any relationship starts with cheating and since he has the resources to marry, there’s a strategy in place. Is this the first one? are we crying because it is his 20th? NO, Zuma has done it many a times and now that there’s no news, as usual he becomes a newsmaker. Whose agenda are you people pushing and propagandising? If you want to win be like him, reach the unreachable and educate them. You guys talk about the same things Mondays to Monday, its boring now.

  22. If Thabo Mbeki could be recalled, so can Zuma, surely on the grounds that he is bringing the Office of the Presidency and the ANC into disrepute.
Though Zuma has been a fairly ok president so far, if he is erring SO badly on one of SA’s top concerns – sexual practices in an age of HIV – then a recall must be considered.
This will give moral authority to the government, so badly needed in an era of ethical decay.

@ all those who say that what Zuma does is acceptable because Clinton did and Kennedy did and Woods did, etc. The difference is WE DON’T HAVE TO SUPPORT THOSE CHILDREN!! Yes, if he wants to have the morals of an alley cat at his own expense, go ahead. The fact is his patron, Shaik, had to even pay for his car to be washed – let alone the schooling of his children. @haiwa tigere – you are missing the point my friend, SA has 1% of the world’s population and 17% of the world’s HIV infected population… a president that stands in front of the nation, nay the world, and preaches self-control, abstince and condom use, and then turns around and uses the shower theory in it’s new incarnation as paying his dues in accordance with custom, is sending a dangerous message to young people who are affected by and infected with HIV… Bill Clinton was impeached, Berlusconi is skating on thin ice as we speak… we should be wary of drawing such comparisons with other nations because our circumstances are not the same…

    February 5, 2010 at 2:29 pm
  26. Phemelo #

Are we that naive that we will do as he does instead of doing what he preaches?Sentletse and others who think like him should not undermine our intellect that we shall willy-nilly make babies.

This event and others like this one confirms my assertion that the Capitalist media has an agenda to veer us away from bread and butter issues.JZ was in Davos and all they(Capitalist media) can think of is how does he handle his wives. If their masters were genuine in helping the developing countries to sustain themselves they would have interrogated our President on poverty(food security),developmental state, mineral beneficiation(for the benefit of HDIs),security of land tenure, etc.
Now you Sentletse and others are helping this Capitalist media in their endeavour to dictate what we talk about in papers and to an extent on our blogs. The discussions on JZ’s extra mural activities do not put bread in the mouth of our people.Instead more hot air is spewed from people’s mouth.

After this storm I would appreciate the same vigour you put in contributing on this issue be accorded to topics like how do we as Blacks claim our land as fas back as 1652?Or how do we undo the damage of colonialism and apartheid without apologising to the descendents of our colonisers?Or, how do we convince the US government to release the AIDS cure locked with its patent in the Pentagon(www.boydgraves.com?

The idea is not to bust FYI whoever your name is, i could do with an education. I’m all for Africa’s indipendence and this is what i term taking action and we could do with costructive cohesiveness not name calling, my name is Nikitha not Julius Malema. Dont you read. You must grow up!Did I not mention land restitution as far back as 1652 in my comments above?Comments like yours reslly make some of us regret to the settlements of CODESA and demands for reconciliation.Sometimes some of us boil becuase of this.We have bent backwards enough to such an extent our people find it prudent not to make a lot of noise about shacks they inhabit.Instead our people are waiting patiently for their house to be built. What slavery? Please consult your ancestors properly you mind find some truth.
