Ramon, thoughtleader offered their platform for our use during DCI. Thoughtleader was the first and only entity to offer their platform, otherwise we would have resorted to using our platform, and creating content syndication agreements. TL offers our students better exposure, and the articles about the DCI will receive better readership.

If you want to get into the nitty gritty of it, our same students spent a week producing content that benefited The Times online, and next year we are planning to create a similar partnership with media24, and any other new media organisations which we can come to an amicable agreement with.

We are not whores to any particular media organisation, and we engage in partnerships with many different organisations.

Also, Mail & Guardian is one of the smaller media houses in South Africa.

Why is the DCI blog suddenly on this website? I looked forward to reading the old blog at http://dci.ru.ac.za but this is like an inherent bias. DCI should remain independent from any particular big media player like Mail & Guardian, who owns Thoughtleader.co.za
