The modern world runs on advertising and media. Even if Zuma was brain dead – enough money poured into building him up would work, provided he had a basic affable personality. It worked for Bush Junior – and he did not even have the affable personality!

The less educated the electorate – the easier to brainwash.

Reminds me of a friend of mine. We started calling him Pig F*#$!er, for no apparent reason. He didn’t mind, but eventually somebody enquired “Why do you call him Pig F*#$!er??”. To which we matter-of-coursely replied “because he f*#$s pigs”.

I am sure he too is forever tarnished

I do get the feeing that SA is stuck somewhere in the 80s. And whilst the rest of the world is nostalgic for when beeer was cheap, sex didn’t involve children (hopefully), and our waistines were thinner, we weren’t so silly as to try tuning back time and living here. again.

The world turns join the rest of us with Japanese ethnopunk computer noises, please.

Well done Andrew! You have recognised the power of voters per watt of output at Jacaranda and other popular stations. Most Jacaranda listeners have their radio dials (well, they used to be dials) welded to 94.2. If JZ is a friend of Jacaranda he’s a friend of the listeners too! As Hunter Thompson knew all too well – there’s no such thing as bad publicity!
